Svatko naviknut na negativne uloge Patricka Malahidea iz Pjevajućeg detektiva (ili bilo kojeg drugog filma u kojem glumi nekog zlokobnog ili neugodnog lika) imat će problema sa navikavanjem na ovu njegovu ulogu pozitivnog junaka u Misterijima inspektora Alleyna, rađenim prema poznatim pričama Ngaioa Marsha. Ali će vas snažni i pametni glumac Malahide pridobiti.
