Za porodicu Gudmen, večera petkom je isto što i nedeljni ručak: samo oduzmite dva dana, dodajte još jedno jelo i to je otprilike to. Adam i njegov brat Džoni večeru petkom smatraju nužnim zlom – nužnim jer moraju da jedu, a zlom zato što moraju da provedu veče s mamom i tatom. Ne radi se o tome da mama i tata nisu divni. Tata srče kečap direktno iz flaše, mama je opsednuta emisijama o kuvanju, a baka voli da nosi svoj novi bikini po kući.
