    Troje djece, Kathy, (Hayley Mills) najstariji Nan i njihov mlađi brat Charlie,
    žive na usamljenoj farmi u Sjevernom Lancashireu sa ocem i tetkom.
    Jednog dana Kathy pronađe čovjeka u lošem stanju koji se krije u štali.
    Kada ga Kathy pita tko je, prije nego što se onesvjesti, on odgovara riječima
    'Isus Christ'.
    Idućeg dana u školi policija obavijesti da je pobjegao kriminalac, ali je Kathy
    uvjerena da je Isus Christ te ga zajedno sa braćom pokušava sakriti od odraslih.




    Mary Hayley Bell, ženu glumca Johna Millsa su inspirirala njihova djeca Hayley, Juliet
    i Jonathan za glavne likove njenog romana ' Whistle Down the Wind' iz 1957 godine.

     


    Vjerovatno je bilo neizbježno da u filmskoj verziji iz 1961 g. glumi njihova kćerka
    Hayley Mills, koja je u tom razdoblju bila najpopularnija filmska dječija zvijezda na svijetu,
    a i producent filma Richard Attenborough je obiteljski prijatelj.
