In 1926 the tragic and untimely death of a silent screen actor caused female moviegoers to riot in the streets and in some cases to commit suicide - that actor was Rudolph Valentino. Ballroom dancer Valentino manipulated his good looks and animal-like grace into a Hollywood career. His smouldering love making, tinged with a touch of masterful cruelty, expressed a sexuality which was at once both shocking and sensual.

Mnogo sam voleo ovaj film. U to vreme, nešto malo pre neta, gotovo nemogućeg za naći, nije ga bilo na VHS-u, ko tek da čeka tv program, to može da potraje 20 godina. Te sam pobenavio od sreće kada sam jednog dana video da će se prikazivati u Kinoteci... Praznik!!! (i bez Rima) Zapravo, osim Rourkea, omiljeni avatar mi je upravo Valentino, iz filma Son of Sheik, no da se ne gubim trivijama, meni je svakako odličan ovaj filmić (mogao bih baš da ga ponovim, gledah ga sa nekih 17, 18 godina)The Legend Of
