Eugenio je čovek kojeg opseda misao da će osiromašiti.
Njegov psihijatar mu predlaže da napusti dom i da neko vreme živi kao siromah.
Tako će upoznati taj način življenja i manje će se plašiti ideje da će osiromašiti.
On uradi tako, a porodica i prijatelji ga brzo zaboravljaju i uošte im ne nedostaje.
S duge strane, upoznaje divnu devojku i pravog dobrog prijatelja.
Spoznaje da posedovanje novca ne znači i pravo "bogatstvo" i polako počinje
da menja svoje mišljenje o tome kakav život zapravo želi...
