Naslovna pjesma filma "Tri novčića u fontani", koju je izveo, iako se to ne spominje u odjavnoj špici, Frank Sinatra, postala je evergreen. Scenarij za film napisao je John Patrick, adaptiravši roman Johna H. Secondarija "Coins in the Fountain".
Na 27. dodjeli Oscara, 1955. godine, film je osvojio dvije nagrade - za najbolju fotografiju i najbolju pjesmu, a nominiran je i za najbolji film.
