Tom je unezvereni 15-godišnjak koji se oseća sve usamljenije dok se sa porodicom seli iz Londona u provincijski Devon. Sa 18-ogodišnjom sestrom Džesi, ocem i trudnom majkom, on živi u skučenoj seoskoj kući; ponekad se kupaju u kuhinji i navikli su da opušteno jedni druge viđaju gole. Ali jednog dana Tom zatiče svog oca u seksualnom odnosu sa Džesi. Ona o tome odbija da razgovara sa Tomom. Majka mora da vodi bolesnu bebu u bolnicu, Tom ne može da podnese napetost u kući i suočava se sa ocem, koji negira istinu.
