The Toast of New York (1937)

Biografska drama. Priča počinje uoči američkog Građanskog rata kad Fisk (E. Arnold), Boyd (C. Grant) i Luke (J. Oakie) na Jugu prodaju sapune u kojima se skriva zlatnik. Kad se otkrije da je to prijevara, moraju pobjeći, a rat je upravo počeo. Fisk smisli novi posao za sebe i Boyda: vratit će se na Jug, kupovati pamuk i krijumčariti ga na Sjever, gdje će ga Luke prodavati tvornicama. Do kraja rata imali su milijune, ali Luke je investirao novac u konfederacijske obveznice...

Film se temelji na slobodnoj interpretaciji života stvarnih poduzetnika, Jamesa Fiska i Edwarda S. Stokesa.
