Опис:

Žderač bundeve je britanski crno-bijeli igrani film snimljen 1964. u režiji Jacka Claytona. Po žanru je drama, a scenario je napisao Harold Pinter prema istoimenom poluautobiografskom romanu Penelope Mortimer. Protagonistica, koju tumači američka glumica Anne Bancroft je Jo, žena koja ima osmero djece sa tri različita muža, od kojih je posljednji filmski scenarist Jake (čiji lik tumači Peter Finch). Radnja prikazuje kako Jake počinje sumnjati u Joinu duševnu stabilnost, dok Jo počne sumnjati u to da je Jake vara. Film je premijerno prikazan na Kanskom festivalu gdje je Bancroft podijelila nagradu za najbolju glumicu sa Barbarom Barrie koja je bila nastupila u One Potato, Two Potato. Film je, prije svega zbog tada još uvijek kontroverznih i "delikatnih" seksualnih tema, uključujući tada ilegalni abortus, prije redovne premijere od strane britanskog cenzorskog ureda dobio oznaku X.
