Britanski horor film, inspirisan romanom Henry Jamesa "The Turn of the Screw", koji je 1961. filmovan (The Innocents). Film o događajima koji su predhodili smrti Petera Quinta i gđe Jessel, i polaganom kvarenju dece koja su pod njihovom brigom. Na britanskom seoskom imanju žive dvoje dece (Miles i Flora) koja su nedavno postali siročići. O njima brinu medicinska sestra, domar i vrtlar. Deca su fascinirana vrtlarem (Brando), a njihova fasciniranost koja se graniči sa opsesijom ide do toga da deca kopiraju sadomazohistički odnos koji vrtlar ima sa medicinskom sestrom.
