    kontraverznom romanu Nikosa Kazantzakisa iz 1951. Martin Scorsese nominiran je za Oscara 
    u kategoriji najboljeg redatelja. U glavnim se ulogama pojavljuju Willem Dafoe, Barbara Hershey
