When John Mason's father is killed, John is wounded. Attracted to his nurse Alice, a conflict arises between him and his friend Ben who plans to marry Alice. John later finds the killer of his father but goes to face him not knowing Ben has removed the bullets from his gun.

Radnja filma:
Povratak u rodni grad nije uvek obojen samo nostalgijom. Priča Džona Mejsona slikana je nekim drugim bojama... Nakon nekoliko godina odsustva, on se vraća u grad da poseti oca. No, upoznavanje i brzo prijateljstvo sa Benom zaustavljaju ga taman toliko koliko je potrebno da mu otac bude ubijen, a Džon teško ranjen. Ben ga sklanja na sigurno, ali prilikom oporavka Džon se zaljubi u Alis i time Bena od prijatelja pretvara u suparnika. Naravno, u priči imamo i ubicu, koji je slučajno u rodu sa ljupkom Alis...
