Опис:

Ratni film snimljen prema knjizi Pata Reida, britanskog časnika koji je organizirao bijeg ratnih zarobljenika zatočenih u dvorcu Colditz tijekom Drugoga svjetskog rata.

Nakon nekoliko pokušaja bijega, britanski, francuski, nizozemski i poljski ratni zarobljenici premješteni su u strogo čuvani dvorac Colditz iz kojeg je bijeg gotovo nemoguć. Isprva, nekoliko grupa okupljenih po nacionalnosti pokušavaju smisliti vlastite planove, no Pat Reid (J. Mills) predlaže da udruže snage i zajedno isplaniraju bijeg. Njihovi prvi pokušaji propadaju jer netko iz redova zarobljenika dostavlja informacije o njemačkim čuvarima. No, ubrzo je otkriven, i planiranje bijega se nastavlja...
