Опис:

Priča o osnivanju Paraolimpijskih igara 1948. Nemački doktor dolazi u Britaniju kako bi transformisao živote pacijenata – paralisanih vojnika koji su otpisani i čekaju tihu smrt usled zapostavljanja. Veliki pomak se događa kada doktor uvede sport kao jedan od metoda rehabilitacije.
Begunac iz nacističke Nemačke, dr. Ludvig Gutman 1944. godine počinje raditi u britanskoj bolnici. Pacijenti bolnice su vojnici s teškim povredama kičme, delomično paralisani. Dr. Gutman uvodi nove metode rehabilitacije s kojima se ne slažu delatnici bolnice. Od muzike, preko sporta sve do izleta na invalidskim kolicima u obližnji bar. Zahvaljujući lekaru, pacijenti se uče ponovno živeti, vraćaju se kućama. Štaviše - dr. Gutman s njima 1948. godine organizira prvi konkurs osoba s invaliditetom, koje će se pretvoriti u Para-olimpijske igre...
