U filmu Crypt Keeper nije mali brbljivi monstrum, već mudri i stariji muškarac. Njemu u kriptu dolazi društvo od pet ljudi, koji ne znaju uopšte šta ih je zapravo dovuklo na to mesto. Uskoro im Crypt Keeper objašnjava razlog, pa im prikazuje što im se zapravo desilo, pa će tako ispričati pet zastrašujućih priča.
