Опис:

Chance Wayne (Newman), lutalica je koji se vraća u svoj rodni grad nakon godina koje je proveo pokušavajući uspijeti kao glumac. Njemu se pridružila bivša filmska zvijezda, Alexandra Del Lago (Page). Dok nagovara Alexandru, koja putuje pod pseudonimom Princess Kosmonopolis, da mu pomogne u karijeri, Chance odluči pokušati osvojiti svoju bivšu djevojku, Heavenly (Knight), kći lokalnog političara Toma Finleya (Begley).

Ekranizacija uspješne Broadwayske predstavu koju je napisao Pulitzerom nagrađeni Tennessee Williams. Ed Begley, koji je tumačio moćnog političara Toma Finleya, osvojio je Oskara za najbolju mušku sporednu ulogu.
