Ovo je pravo pravcato remek delo filmske umetnosti. Po umetnickim kvalitetima kad je radjen, za jednog tadasnjeg Oscara.
Smesten u ruralnu sredinu u nekoj nedodjiji, slika maestralno patrijarhalne odnose, obicaje , zivote pripadnika malog sela u cijem je sredistu porodica koja zeni cetrnaestogodisnjeg sina za buducu svekrvu, jer majka ne moze sve sama da radi u polju i u kuci.
Zene rintosu po ceo dan, muskarci ne rade jer je to ''sramota''. Oni puse, piju kafu, zevzece se, dok nesretne zene skapavaju .
Ima sjajnih dijaloga, nekih bisernih scena, film kipti od zivota i pulsirajucih desavanja.
Znalacka relizacija pravog scenarija dostojnog planinskih vrhova filmske umetnosti.
Prevod naseg Petera cista destka. Gde li samo on pronalazi ovakve filmove koji stvarno oplemenjuju nase duse filmofila?
