Ovo je drugi film na kojem su surađivale vječne ''neprijateljice'' Bette Davis i Miriam Hopkin. Njihovo profesionalno rivalstvo samo je dodatno pogoršala činjenica da je 1939. godine Bette Davis imala aferu s redateljem Anatoleom Litvakom, mužem Miriam Hopkins.
