Опис:
Jednog dana 1899. po rijeci na sjeverozapadu Kanade plovio je u kanuu André Dupas (J. Coutu). Uz njega je bio i njegov tromjesečni pas Nikki, mješanac vuka i haskija. Dok su se odmarali na obali, Nikki je prvi put vidio medvjedicu i tek koji mjesec starog medvjedića. Malo kasnije medvjedića i medvjedicu napao je stari opasni medvjed. Zaklao je medvjedicu, a André je nakon molećivog Nikkijevog pogleda poveo sa sobom medvjedića. U kanuu su Nikki i medvjedić bili zavezani dugim remenom jedan za drugog. Kad je kanu naišao na brzake, prevrnuo se. Nikki i medvjedić dugo su plivali, a onda se nekako dokopali kopna. I dalje su bili zavezani jedan za drugog. André ih je dugo dozivao no kad se nisu pojavili otišao je. I premda će se medvjedić i pas osloboditi remena i dalje će lutati zajedno...
Ovaj film u Disneyevoj produkciji svidjet će se ne samo djeci nego i odraslima. Prizori sa životinjama imaju dokumentarističku snagu.
