Опис:

Philip Sutherland (Clark Gable), američki je novinar koji je, zbog svoje ljubavi prema prelijepoj balerini Marvi Larkins (Gene Tierney), odlučio ostati u Moskvi i nakon završetka rata. Njih dvoje uskoro stupaju u brak ali ruski manjak gostoljubivosti prema strancima i sve veća paranoja državnih organa prisili Phillipa na odlazak. No on ne namjerava tako lako napustiti Marvu i odluči je izvući iz Rusije na bilo kakav način.
