Infantilni car sićušnog planeta -Todd Spengo (Jon Lovitz), naseljenog samim idiotima, odluči uništiti Zemlju, kako bi bio jedini vladar Svemira. No kad je još jednom strateški promotri kroz teleskop, tamo ugleda sredovječnu kućanicu Marge Nelson (Teri Garr) kako vježba, i odmah se u nju zaljubi. Stoga odluči svoj naum odgoditi za sutradan, kako bi dotad Marge doveo k sebi. Ona pak upravo s malodušnim i mrzovoljnim suprugom Dickom (Jeffrey Jones) kreće na putovanje, pa ih Spengo usiše ogromnim magnetom do vlastite galaksije "


Emperor Spengo sees Marge Nelson and using a giant magnet, kidnaps her and her husband Dick, hoping to make Marge his before blowing up the Earth. The Emperor and other inhabitants of his planet are somewhat less than bright, and Dick begins reliving episodes of Flash Gordon and Buck Rogers in order to rescue Marge, save the Earth, and restore the rightful emperor to the throne.

    U ovoj svemirskoj komediji iz 1992 godine veliki Cezar Spengo
    okupira mali planet na rubu svemira, s kojeg želi uništiti Zemlju
    sa super žarkom. Kad nacilja Zemlju ugleda Marge Nelson kako
    gimnasticira te se zaljubi u nju.
    Uništavanje Zemlje će morati sačekati neku drugu priliku jer Spengo
    s pomoću velikog magneta kidnapira Marge i njenog muža Dicka.
    Dick preuzme ulogu Bucka Rogersa i Flasha Gordona da spasi
    svoju ženu i svijet.

       



    Trivia:
    U jednoj od uloga pojavi se i montypythonovac Eric Idle, a koscenarista
    je Ed Solomon koji je svoje komičarske sposobnosti dokazao par
    godina kasnije kao scenarista filma Men in Black (1997).
