Redatelj filma Philippe Garrel osvojio je mnoge nagrade za ovaj film, među ostalim Srebrnog lava u Veneciji i nagradu FIPRESCI. Njegov sin koji nastupa u glavnoj ulozi osvojio je Césara za mladu glumačku nadu.
