Romantična komedija. Znanstvenik Etienne Alexis, kandidat za predsjednika nove Europe, zagovornik je umjetne oplodnje. Po njemu, eliminiranje strasti dovelo bi do društvenog boljitka. Njegov život je ukočen, intelektualan i sterilan. Kako bi proslavio zaruke sa svojom rođakinjom, priređuje piknik, na kojem pastirska frula prouzroči oluju.
