U Lake Placidu obitavaju korokodili kojima je očito najmilije ljudsko meso, te su zbog opasnosti oko jezera postavili elektrićnu ogradu. Jedne noći netko zaboravi zaključati ogradu i krodkodili pobjegnu sijući strah i trepet među srednjoškolcima koji su došli u park. Čuvarica Reba i šerif trude se spasiti djecu dok opasni divlji lovac Bicker pokušava iskoristiti situaciju u svoju korist.
