Preživjevši tešku dramu u privatnom životu, glumica i redateljica Valérie Donzelli te njezin partner, glumac Jérémie Elkaïm pretočili su ih u film. Upoznali su se u pariškom noćnom klubu, zaljubili i započeli vezu koja je okrunjena brakom. Njihova sreća nastavila se kada je Valérie rodila sina Adama, no uskoro se suočavaju s kobnom sinovljevom bolesti i započinju mukotrpnu bitku za ozdravljenje.
