Indochine (1992)

Krajem 1920-ih godina dolazi kraj francuskoj kolonijalnoj vlasti u Indokini. Neudana Elijan Devriz je vlasnica velike plantaže na kojoj živi njen otac i Vijetnamka Kamil koju je usvojila. Elijan vodi lagodan život i u ljubavnoj je vezi s mladim mornaričkim oficirom. Idilu prekida pobuna lokalnog stanovništva koje se obrazovalo na Zapadu i sada širi komunizam. U jednom neredu njen ljubavnik spasava Kamil koja se smrtno zaljubi u njega zbog čega beži od kuće i uverava se u nepravdu i nasilje kojem je trpi njen narod
