Sicilija, mlada aristokratkinja Adriana i Cesare vole se već godinama. No, Adriana pristaje na želju Cesarovog oca i udaje se za njegova brata Antonia. Kada joj suprug Antonio pogine u saobraćajnoj nesreći, lepa Adrijana prolazi kroz
