Опис:
Joe Bonaparte's father wants him to pursue his musical talent; but Joe wants to be a boxer. Persuading near-bankrupt manager Tom Moody to give him a chance, Joe quickly rises in his new profession. When he has second thoughts Moody's girl Lorna uses feminine wiles to keep him boxing. But when tough gangster Eddie Fuseli wants to "buy a piece" of Joe, Lorna herself begins to have second thoughts...for that and other reasons. Is it too late?

Inače,Barbara je spasila Holdena od otkaza jer reditelj nije bio zadovoljan njegovom glumom.
Hteli su da ga zamene drugim glumcem ali je Barbara stala na njegovu stranu i reditelj Rouben Mamoulian je na kraju popustio!

Uprkos nastojanju oca da mu sin razvija muzički talenat, Džo Bonaparta želi da postane bokser. Uspeva u tome , ali ljudi oko njega počinju da gledaju svoju korist. Njegov menadžer, njegova devojka, lokalni kriminalac, svi oni imaju svoje razloge zašto ga podržavaju i pomažu. Situacija oko ovog mladića od 20-tak godina postaje sve konfuznija.
