Опис:
Priča je to o Davidu i Diegu, dvojici mladića u potrazi za sredinom u kojoj mogu živjeti takvi kakvi jesu. Prvi studira društvene znanosti na havanskom sveučilištu, a drugi je homoseksualac koji je život posvetio kubanskoj kulturi. Film priča o predrasudama i nemogućnosti komunikacije, a te složene situacije navode na zaključak kako je solidarnost najbolja ljudska osobina.
Jagoda i cokolada prvi je kubanski film nominiran za Oscara u kategoriji stranog filma 1994. godine.

Briljantno! Dijego je homoseksualac, intelektualac i vernik i nikako se ne uklapa u kliše nekog ko voli svoju domovinu. On se trudi da razbije te predrasude, ali nikako ne uspeva. Zato pokušava da svoje ideje plasira preko mladog studenta političkih nauka, Davida.
