Džej Ostin (Aleks Kendrik) je baš onakav prodavac polovnih automobila kakvih se mušterije najviše plaše – nepošteni, uvek nasmejani manipulator koji samo gleda da se otarasi krševa sa svog auto-placa. Na kraju će ga njegove prevare sustići, primoravajući ga da se ozbiljno zamisli nad sopstvenim životom. I dok počinje da servisira stari kabriolet, popravke koje obavlja pod haubom počinju da se odražavaju na njegov život i pokreću njegov lični preobražaj kod kuće i na poslu.
