Kako je i zašto Čarls Darvin postavio teoriju evolucije? Zašto tu teoriju smatramo tačnom?
Dejvid Atemborou počinje putovanje u Darvinovoj kući u Kentu, gde je poznati biolog provodio dane razmišljajući na temu nastanka života. Potom odlazi u Kembridž, na kome su obojica studirali i gde je takođe otkrivena DNK, presudna za razumevanje genetike.
Konačno, odlazi u Prirodnjački muzej u Londonu, gde shvata koliko je Darvinova teorija promenila naš pogled na svet. Pomoću nje smo shvatili zbog čega ima toliko različitih vrsta na planeti, kao i to da nismo svi zasebnai, već itekako povezani sa ostalim živim svetom.
