Buck and the Preacher (1972)

Ovaj vestern je debitantsko ostvarenje Sidnija Poatijea, čija se radnja odvija po završetku Građanskog rata. Bivši konjički narednik vojske Unije, Bak (Sidni Poatije) prijavio se da sprovede voz pun oslobođenih robova na zapad gde će im obezbediti mesto stanovanja. Pored Bakove supruge, Rut (Rubi Di), koja odano i neumorno radi pored svog muža, sa njima je i Propovednik (Hari Belafonte), bivši rob belačkog sveštenika i pohlepni prevarant koji voli novac više nego Boga.
Njihov miran put ka zapadu je iznenada ugrožen kada se pojavi Dešej (Kamron Mičel) i njegova banda „noćnih jahača“. Kada ova opasna banda zahteva da bivši robovi ostanu na jugu kao jeftina radna snaga, dve sile se sudaraju u neverovatno dramatičnoj borbi.
