1940. godina. Nemačke nacističke snage napreduju Evropom. Francuska je osvojena i Nemci pripremaju invaziju na britansko ostrvo. Neprijatelj je uveren u svoju pobedu jer je brojčano nadmoćniji i oružano snažniji, te planira brzu pobedu i okončanje rata. Započinju bombardovanje britanskih aerodroma u nameri da ih imobilišu, ali dočekuju ih spremni piloti britanskog ratnog vazduhoplovstva (RAF) koji se pokazuju žilavijim protivnikom nego što su Nemci očekivali.
