Američki televizijski film snimljen 1985. godine u režiji Johna Ermana poznat kao prvo takvo ostvarenje na temu AIDS-a koje je emitirano u udarnom terminu. Protagonist, čiji lik tumači Aidan Quinn je mladi gej advokat koji se razboli i potom sazna da ga je promiskuitetni ljubavnik (koga tumači D.W. Moffett) zarazio virusom HIV-a. Radnja prikazuje kako se zbog toga prisiljen "outati" porodici od čijih je članova dočekan sa nerazumijevanjem i strahom, a slično doživljava i od osoblja u bolnici. An Early Frost je emitiran nedugo nakon što je američka javnost doznala o postojanju AIDS-a, te su njegovi tvorci - gej scenaristi i producenti Ron Cowen i Daniel Lipman - kroz njega nastojali publiku upoznati sa predrasudama sa kojima se suočavaju gej, ali i heteroseksualni bolesnici.[wikizero]
