Po žanru je drama, a protagonistica, čiji lik tumači Brigitte Helm, je supruga ostarjelog uglednika (čiji lik tumači Gustav Diessl), koja se osjeća nezadovoljnom i sputanom u braku, te to nastoji nadoknaditi vanbračnim aferama.
