Dave i Manny su prvoklasni lopovi i nikad nisu uhvaćeni. Joshua Burke je penzionisani detektiv koji ima dovoljno dokaza o njima dvojici da ih strpa iza rešetaka. Umesto toga, u zamenu za ćutanje, lopovi moraju da postanu pošteni i rade u centru za maloletne delikvente. U početku lopovima se to ne sviđa (a ni deci), ali vremenom stiču poverenje i divljenje dece i počinju da uživaju u poslu. I sve ide dobro dok se ne pojavi neko iz prošlosti i uceni ih da urade još jedan "posao" ili ....
